Pack 888 Uniform Recycling Program

You can donate your old hats, neckerchiefs and slides to the Pack.  We’ll wash and sell them back to your fellow Pack 888 Cub Scouts for a discount!  This will help you clean out the closet, other scouts save money and the Pack will earn a few dollars too. At each Pack Meeting we’ll have a box available for you to donate your son’s old uniforms. We’ll be happy to take them off your hands. Please place them in a bag with your son’s name. Those who donate uniforms will have the first opportunity to buy recycled ones from the Pack.

 Changing to the Webelos Uniform:
  1. Your Webelos scout can still wear their blue cub scout shirt with the plaid Webelo hat and neckerchief and neckerchief slide; with blue shorts or blue jean shorts or khaki shorts; and should still wear belt and belt loops.
    1. All Webelos will be given the Webelo color ribbons to wear under the den patch; all pins will be placed on the Webelo color ribbons.
    2. 1st year Webelos will earn their Webelos patch in February after achieving all of the Webelos requirements. This patch will be put in place of the bobcat/tiger/wolf/bear patches.
  2. Your Webelos scout can change to the tan BSA shirt (especially if their blue cub scout shirt is getting too small) with the plaid Webelo hat/neckerchief/neckerchief slide. Can wear green shorts or blue jean shorts or khaki shorts. Should still wear belt and belt loops.
    1. The BSA shirts now come with several patches already sewed on (including NCAC patch and purple scout crest patch). If you get a microfiber shirt, you need a special microfiber needle for the sewing machine or else it pulls like cheap stockings.
    2. You will need to purchase the blue epaulettes for the shoulder loops.
    3. You need to sew on the pack 888 patch with 50 year bar and religious knot (if your scout earned one).
    4. Optional: You can sew on the den number, the journey to excellence, and the outdoor activity patch.
    5. All Webelos will be given the Webelo color ribbons to wear under the den patch; all pins will be placed on the Webelo color ribbons.
    6. Webelos will earn their Webelos patch in February after achieving all of the Webelos requirements. This patch will be put in place of the bobcat/tiger/wolf/bear patches. Optional: You can display the bobcat/tiger/wolf/bear patches on the left pocket now or you can leave it empty until February when they get the Webelos patch.
