Everything you need to know about what to buy, where to get it, and how to save money.
Every Cub Scout needs these items. Tip: buy a Medium shirt — scouts grow fast and you don't want to re-sew patches!
** The NCAC patch and World Crest may already be sewn onto the shirt when you purchase it — check before buying separately.
Shop in person or order online — all options below carry official Scouting America merchandise. Shirts bought in person at the Scout Shop usually come with most of the standard patches already sewn on, and the shop will sew on the rest for a small fee. (Robcyns Store on King Street has closed.)
Scouts outgrow uniforms fast. Donate your old hats, neckerchiefs, and slides to the Pack — we'll wash them and sell them back to fellow Pack 888 families at a discount. Everyone wins: you clear out the closet, other families save money, and the Pack earns a few dollars.
When your scout enters Webelos, they have two uniform options. Both are acceptable — choose what works best for your family.
⚠️ If buying a microfiber shirt, use a microfiber needle in your sewing machine — standard needles can pull the fabric.
