About Pack 888

Since 1947, Cub Scout Pack 888 has been a cornerstone of the Alexandria community, providing a fun and character-building environment for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Centered in the Fort Hunt area, our Pack draws families from numerous local schools (including Stratford Landing, Hollin Meadows, Belle View, Waynewood, Fort Hunt, Hybla Valley, Groveton, St. Louis, St. Mary's, and Aquinas Montessori). We are a family-oriented organization where parents and scouts work together to foster leadership, integrity, and personal fitness through a program that balances learning with high-energy adventure.

Our scouts are organized into grade-level Dens that meet regularly to build skills and friendships, culminating in monthly Pack-wide celebrations. Throughout the year, we engage in iconic scouting traditions like the Pinewood Derby, fall and spring camping trips, and vital community service projects such as "Scouting for Food." Whether we are exploring the outdoors or working on environmental conservation, our goal remains the same: to make the scouting journey a meaningful path of growth, service, and—most importantly—fun for every family involved.
